Maths DLO

Hello, My name is Mase and this is my Maths DLO. For this, we had to talk about a strategy in maths we have been learning and explain it. It was actually quite easy and hard at the same time. Anyway, enjoy!

Biology

Biology is a natural science that focuses on the study of life and living organisms. These studies can involve the outlook of their physical structure, chemical processes, their molecular interactions, the development of the organism, etc. Biology is the science that recognizes the cell as the main part of life, genes as the main part of heredity and evolution as the thing that propels existence and creation.

Grandparent's Day

On Monday, a few of our classmates grandparents came to our school. They came for the purpose of telling us about how their past was different to the present. Their were questions such as how they communicated, different technology, what they did at school, etc. It was actually quite interesting to hear about their past and honestly, it was a good experience. Overall, it was interesting and what I can take away from this, is that this present is much more advanced.

My bee writing:THE LIFE OF BEES

Hello everyone! My name is Mase and this is my Bee writing. For this, we had a set task of picking one of three writing styles (poetry, explain, report and also, I picked poetry), then get some bee information and then write about it. I did enjoy writing this, as it was nice to make a descriptive poem, but was a bit time-consuming to finally edit out everything that needed working on. Overall, this was quite fun and I'm excited for our next piece. Anyway, hope you enjoy this and Auf Wiedersehen.

Bees Reading Grid

Hello everyone! My name is Mase with me and Max's reading grid. For this, we had specific articles about bees, which we were to read, evaluate and put information in. It was quite easy to find and evaluate the info, but hard to work with my other partner. Anyway, hope you enjoy this and I'll blog ya later!

Technology

This week ( and a few weeks ), we went to Hukerenui School for our technology unit. The trip there isn't very ecstatic, but when you get there, it's quite enjoyable. Basically, there are 3 different tech units, consisting of hard materials (the one I'm in...), soft materials and cooking. In hard materials, we are making a Marble Maze, which consists of a pinball-like contraption in a box. In soft materials, they are making a necklace mold and actually creating that mold and in cooking you just cook different foods. Overall, it's actually quite fun and even though it's 20$ to go for the rest of the 2 terms, it's very fun to do.

Ethanol

Ethanol (or alcohol) is a chemical compound consisting of the formula C 2 H 6 O. It's a volatile, flammable and colorless liquid, of which has a slight characteristic odor to it. Ethanol is naturally created by fermenting sugar with yeasts or through a petrochemical process, which turns it into the recreational drug we all know (beer, wine or spirits). Ethanol also has medical purposes, such as the use of antiseptics or disinfectants. Ethanol is also commonly used as a chemical solvent, either in chemical testing or in the synthesis of other compounds. 

Fact: It's also a psychoactive drug, which is a substance that changes the neurological side of your brain (such as behaviors, mood function and consciousness).

Gorillaz

Gorillaz are a British virtual band created in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The band itself contains 4 animated members, 2-D (the lead singer), Murdoc Niccals (the bassist), Noodle (the guitarist) and Russel Hobbs (the drummer). Gorillaz, in total, have created and released six different studio albums, that have consisted of many genres (such as Alternative Rock and Electronic music). Throughout the years, Gorillaz have earned 5 platinums for their albums, been nominated for ten different Brit awards and have won 8 different awards.

Weekly 3 Maths

Hi, my name is Mase and this is my Weekly 3 Maths. For this, we had 3 different websites to visit, where we had to do different math tasks. It was easy to do most of the questions, but different math equations in my head are still difficult (a bit). Anyway, enjoy my post and I'll blog ya later!
