Science: Heart and Lungs.

Hello peeps, Mase Varghin here for a sort of reflection on our current topic, which is obviously about the heart and lungs.

The topic has obviously been about the heart and lungs, in which we've learnt about how the heart and lungs function, the many different parts in the heart and lungs, the transportation of blood, how blood is formed. I've learnt about the different substances in the blood, such as plasma and haemoglobin. We have also learnt how to identify different parts in the heart, like the four chambers, and the lungs, like the alveolar.

The most fun part about the entire topic, in my personal opinion, has been nothing (no offence). Unlike previous years, I've sort of lost interest in biology, but I still have found it pretty interesting education-wise. In terms of what I am looking forward to next year for science, I personally love learning about psychology and behaviour, so I hope that we could be able to learn about that a bit.

Anyways, Thanks for the Catch-22.

Petrol Car Timeline.

Hey ya'll, Mase is here for the last bit of woodwork presentations for theory.

For this task, we were instructed to create a timeline on a piece of technology that is commonly used around the world, from the date of it's invention to the present. It went pretty well and we are getting into practical work this week. Anyways, enjoy the slide.

Wood Work Safety

 Yello again, It's yours truly.

For our next woodwork task, we were instructed with listing down some essential safety tips for working in the workshop. This doc covers many different areas of safety, like when using power tools, even to just essential dressing.

Anyway, I hope you do find something interesting about this doc.

Yours truly, M.E.V

Woodwork Tools.

Yello there, I'm Mase and this is me and my mates woodwork hand tools booklet thingy.

During our jump start, we have been tasked with multiple sorts of things for woodwork. One of these tasks happened to be talking about hand tools and their functions, along with some tips for proper maintenance. I found it pretty easy, even though I procrastinated like hell on this. Anyway, enough of that. I hope you will find something interesting about this doc.

Yours, M.E.V

Comparing Cultures

In our social studies class we have been learning about different cultures. This work has included comparing other cultures to ours (which is what this post is about), watching videos about certain aspects of cultures and so on. With this piece of work, we were to pick a European culture and compare it to NZ culture. I picked Sweden, because why not. Within this, we picked 4 aspects of culture and compared the two, then ended the comparison with a P.E.E.L paragraph (acronym for point, explain, evidence and link). I did notice quite a few differences between Sweden and NZ, such as how the Swedish paint scenes of relaxation and how the New Zealanders paint more portraits and do carving much more than the Swedish. Anyway, I do hope you like this slide.

About me

Hello, I am Mase and I go to Bay of islands college. I live in moerewa and I am 13. I belong to the NZ European culture.
As a learner, I am good in subjects like english, science and most options (specifically like music and digital tech). I struggle a bit in maths and I have a MASSIVE problem with social studies. My goal is to pass maths and learn to do it faster mentally.
Some of my goals at the moment include:

To do good in science.

Do good in specific sports in P.E.

Do english better.

Do faster mental maths.

Personally, I want to learn the guitar and the saxophone much better than I can play now, and I hope to be a commercial diver when I get older.
