Mosque Poem

Hello, my name is Mase and this is my Christchurch poem. We had been tasked with writing a poem to commemorate those who were murdered at the Mosque shootings that happened nearly 2 weeks ago. This poem is aimed at remembering those who were shot and also for our support of the Muslim community in New Zealand. Remember, when we unite, we come together as one.

Morse Coding

Morse Code is a encoding scheme and is a form of common telecommunication that consists of using a machine to send encoded messages made up of two signal durations, known as "Dots and Dashes" or "Dits and Dahs". In the 1900s, Morse code was generated from a small machine known as "The Bug", which was a small electric device that consisted of a paddle and a small knob. The user would have to press quickly if they needed a "Dot" or they would hold it down slightly longer for a "Dash" (the same goes for "Dits and Dahs"). Although old telegraphing machines are still commonly used today, modern military forces have devised different ways to generate Morse, including using computer software and using handheld devices known as "Keyers", which is more likely used in the open as a way to signal emergency's and warn the main HQ of that force.
This was for free writing that I did last week, but now I actually finished it. :-)
So, for free writing,we got to write anything that our mind came up with. I chose Morse code because, from reading a lot of war stories,Morse code is a pretty interesting topic that I thought I wanted to write about. I found this a bit difficult to write about because talking about Morse code is a bit hard to explain properly. Next time,I am going to work on trying to explain in a easier way.
Anyways,Hope you all enjoy and i'll see you all later.

The Brain

The Human Brain is one of the most important organs of the Human body, being the main organ that controls the nervous system of the body. The Brain is made up of the Cerebrum, the Brain stem and the Cerebellum and works as a decision maker,as it receives info from the sensory organs and controls the functions of all organs. The cerebrum divides into four different lobes,The Frontal Lobe,The Temporal Lobe,The Parietal Lobe and The Occipital Lobe. The Frontal Lobe is in control of the functions of the body,The Temporal Lobe controls your memory, The Parietal Lobe integrates different information and The Occipital Lobe controls vision.

Titanic

The R.M.S Titanic was a large cruise ship that was built between the years of 1909 and 1911,with it being finished and launched in 1912. Titanic was one of the biggest ships built in its time, with a length of 882 feet and 9 inches (over 200 meters),also being about 32 meters tall and weighing 53,310 tons. On April 14th,the Titanic collected in all of their 2,000 passengers and set sail to New York from Northampton,England. At 11.am on the same day,the Titanic had struck an iceberg and started to sink for approximately 2 hours. At 2.am on April 15th,the Titanic had tipped upwards and got submerged under the sea, after which the R.M.S Carpathia had arrived to take in the rest of the survivors.

The Great Depression

(This is for Free Writing and I decided to write about the most severe economic depression ever. Hope you enjoy!)

The Great Depression was a devastating global economic depression that took place in the early 20th century. The Great Depression started when,on October 1929, a major stock market crash occurred in the United States. The news hit hard worldwide,as most countries were reliant on the industries it's citizens worked in. It hit pretty hard in NZ,as the country was pretty dependent on agricultural trades with the United Kingdom. Although most were hit hard,The League Of Nations stated that Chile was hit the hardest,as 80% of most of the government revenue came from exports of material production trades and,in 1932,The Gross Domestic Product sales had dropped by half of what it was originally. Overall,The Great Depression had hit hard over the US and most countries around the world, especially those that relied on the industry market itself.
