WW1

World War 1,also referred to as The Great War, was a chaotic amount of events that spanned through 1914 to 1918. It was believed that WW1 was caused due to the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife. In a series of events, Countries in Europe such as Britain and France,were threatened with war by Russia and was declared by the Russian And German people. WW1 had caused over 10 million deaths to civilians and also combatants of the War. 70 million had signed up for war and since the men were out fighting, Women would sign up to be a field or ship medic. Surprisingly,The United States did not sign up till 1917,a year before the war had ended,And even though it was claimed as "The War to end all wars",It was the events of WW1 that had contributed to the 2nd World War twenty years later. Although WW1 was horrifying and ended with a whole heap of casualties,it had sparked the 20th century era of technology as we know it,with planes and tanks having been invented for that time,so it had started up technology as we know it.
