My student conference
Hello, my name is Mase and this is my student conference. For this, we had to make a slide that talks about our learning and how we're doing on it. After that, we had a night where we would bring our parents (or caregivers) in to talk about it. It was easy enough to make and show, but was a bit hard trying to find some elaborate ideas. Anyway, enjoy the post and I'll blog ya later!

Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is the study and research of the behavioral side of the brain that follows a event of trauma or a brain condition. It focuses on experiments and clinical research to helps to diagnose and treat the effects of neurological disorders. It is quite a new branch in psychology, as it was officially recognized as a branch in the 1980s, after being published by the company Kolb And Whishaw, though the original concept can be traced back to Ancient Egypt. The ways of getting the research for the final diagnosis are large, such as through brain scans, electrophysiology and an MRI machine. Although neuropsychology is mainly focused on the human anatomy, it also spreads to many parts of the anatomy of animals and unidentified creatures. There is also the term of classical neurology, which focuses on the effects of disease and injury in the nervous system.

Matariki DLO
Hello! My name is Mase and this is my Matariki DLO. For this, we had to do a DLO that revolves around the Matariki star cluster (since it was Matariki day). It was easy to make this with all the copying and pasting from our original research, but was difficult to work with a certain person. Anyways, enjoy this post and I'll blog ya later!
First encounters popplet
Hello, It's Mase here with my FE popplet. For this task, we had to research things between the First encounters between Maori and Europeans. It was easy to find the research and put it together, but teamwork was pretty scarce. Anyway, thanks for seeing and I'll blog ya later!

Tuna and Takakau Week
Last week, we had students go out to catch tuna and bake takakau for our tuna and takakau week. We had 11 students catch tuna, on the exception of a few having caught long fin tuna (which were not allowed to be brought in). All of them were quite great, some were small and some were large. On the main day, kids brought in their takakau ( that day was also Matariki) and a group of judges were assigned to Room 1. After the performance at the hall, they handed out certificates to the students that brought in something. Overall, it was a great day and I would happily go again.
Te reo activity.
Hello, My name is Mase and this is my Te reo activity. For this, we had an example of explaining a characters looks and what he is doing and then we did our own person describing him. It was quite easy to write down and find a character, but I had some problems understanding some of the words. Overall, it was a bit fun and I definitely learned more Maori. Anyway, enjoy the post and I'll see you later.
PS: If you don't understand the words, just use the Maori dictionary.

Matariki Day
On Matariki Day, we had a fair dink um amount of family show up. For this day, we also had to do a project relating around Matariki (which hopefully will be done soon) and show the family what to do when working on those projects. After the initial start off, we went off to morning tea, preparing for our eventual performance at the hall. After that, we left for the hall, having our performances and having a great time. At lunch, the hangi was prepared and everyone had a good feed. At the end of the day, it ended normally.
Overall, it was quite a good day and even though none of my family came, it was still a good experience.

Waitangi Project
HELLO EVERYBODY! My name is Mase and this is my Waitangi project. For this, we went to Waitangi to work with the people of the Raranga Matahiko group (given there was only 1 person) and made some projects about the events of the first encounters between Europeans and Maori and I decided to do it on the Land disputes over New Zealand. It was quite easy to put it together and was kind of a task to find a cut to the music. Anyway, enjoy this project and GOODBYE.

Biopsychology
Bio-psychology is the application of the principles of the branch of Biology and uses those studies to focus on the mechanisms of the behavioral side of a humans brain. This study evolved from the scientific and philosophical traditions of the 18th and 19th century. Rene Descartes was a major figure in forming this, as he had suggested that the pineal gland (a unpaired structure in the spinal cord section of the brain) was the point of contact between the mind and body. Although Descartes was a major figure in this study, there were also other great figures that majorly contributed to this, such as William James.
Hello, this is Mase with my last piece of free writing for this term. I really wanted to write about this, as I've really enjoyed writing about medical things over the term and it's quite interesting to write about this. Anyway, enjoy this piece!
